Banuti Ranchers started breeding Black Angus using
embryos imported from the United States of America.
The embryos were flushed from pedigree cows and implanted
into surrogate cows at Banuti Ranchers. This
method allows for adaptation of the Black Angus to
the East African climate and conditions from gestation to birth and beyond.
Black Angus primarily are used for superior beef
production as they are the biggest beef producing animal.
They were developed from cattle native to the counties of
Aberdeen in Scotland.
